Biological Mosquiito Control

Microbe-Lift Biological Mosquito Control is a liquid mosquito control product that can be applied to areas that contain aquatic life, fish and plants and can also be used in areas used by or in contact with humans, animals, horses, livestock, pets, birds or wildlife.

Natural mosquito control can be achieved with our mosquito control product from Microbe-Lift. Microbe-Lift BMC (Biological Mosquito Control) kills developing mosquitoes before they can become biting adults, including those which may transmit West Nile Virus, Equine Encephalitis and those which may transmit Heartworm Disease in dogs and cats. Natural mosquito control is achieved through the use of naturally occurring bacteria that are toxic to mosquito larvae. Once applied, the mosquito larvae ingest the bacteria, resulting in death.

Application Rates & Dosages

6 Drops per 100 Gallons of Pond Water
1/2 teaspooon (2.5ml) per 1000 Gallons of Pond Water
You can also calculate treating 550 square feet of surface area with one teaspoon

The 2 ounce container will treat:

a 3,500 gallon pond for 2 months
a 2,500 gallon pond for 4 months
a 1,000 gallon pond for 9 months
a 750 gallon pond for 13 months
a 400 gallon pond for 24 months



The 12 ounce container will treat:

a 10,000 gallon pond for 4 months
a 7,500 gallon pond for 8 months
a 5,000 gallon pond for 13 months
a 3,500 gallon pond for 18 months


This biological mosquito control liquid, as well as the mosquito dunks, are both much safer than chemicals like Methoprene or Pre-Strike which can have toxicity against non-target invertebrates.

Active Ingredients: BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS ISRAELENSIS (BTI) is a microbial preparation that is uniquely safe because its toxins act solely on mosquitoes and their close relatives .. black flies, nuisance flies and nuisance aquatic midges. The BTI destroy the wall of the larva's gut. BTI is universally accepted as an example of an environmentally- friendly insecticidal product.
