MOSQUITO BITS® is a highly selective microbial insecticide effective against mosquitoes in a variety of habitats. When spread over the surface of containerized water the BITS release a biological mosquito larvicide at the water's surface. This larvicide gradually settles in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there. MOSQUITO BITS® may be used in all types of containerized standing water sites where mosquito larvae grow. The BITS will give a quick kill within 24 hours. Sprinkle one teaspoon per 25 square feet or one tablespoon per 75 square feet (1/2 lb. per 2178 square feet) over the surface of the containerized standing water found around the home. MOSQUITO BITS ® should be applied uniformly. A seven to fourteen day interval between applications should be employed. Longer periods of mosquito suppression will be obtained with the subsequent use of MOSQUITO DUNKS.
